Privacy Policy
Read how WebPinPNG processes images in your browser and what website data practices must be disclosed.
1. Image Files and Local Conversion
When you drag or select a WebP or PNG file, the image data is read directly by your web browser using HTML5 File APIs. The canvas decoding and APNG/WebP encoding algorithms execute exclusively on your local CPU/GPU. At no point are your image files sent across the Internet to our servers or third parties.
2. Website Requests and Hosting
Loading our web pages requires fetching static code and assets from Cloudflare's global content delivery network. In doing so, standard server connection logs (including IP addresses, browser headers, and timestamps) may be recorded for network security, DDoS prevention, and service stability.
3. Telemetry, Analytics, and Cookies
We do not track private user image contents. Any aggregated usage telemetry measures strictly high-level interface events (such as button clicks) without filenames, file dimensions, or image content. We do not use third-party advertising cookies during preview.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Are images sent for server conversion?+
No. All image format transcoding runs strictly inside your local browser memory.
Does local conversion mean no website requests occur?+
No. Loading the website, HTML, CSS, JavaScript scripts, and web fonts requires standard HTTP requests to our CDN hosting infrastructure.
Are filenames sent to analytics?+
No. Image filenames, binary buffers, dimensions, and previews are never transmitted to analytics or telemetry services.
Does the site use cookies?+
WebPinPNG uses only essential functional browser storage (such as theme preference and language selection). No advertising tracking cookies are deployed during preview.
How long are website logs retained?+
Standard CDN access logs (IP address, user agent, requested asset path) are retained by Cloudflare according to standard network security rotation periods.
How can I make a privacy request?+
You can submit privacy inquiries and data requests by contacting our support team via the Support button at the bottom-right of any page.
